TESTIMONIALS

Before I started taking lessons, as a singer who doesn’t play an instrument, ear training felt like an abstract concept to me. I didn’t really know how to approach it. Most people just tell you to practice endless dictations without really sharpening your understanding. But I remember in your lessons, you really focused on helping me understand the roots of things—what I was hearing and how to identify it, rather than just repeating exercises mindlessly. That was a game-changer for me.
Beyond that, your lessons always had a fun, engaging element, and for the first time, I actually enjoyed learning this subject. I really had a great time and felt myself progressing!

Idan teaches theoretical concepts in an accessible, simple way that always leaves you wanting more. Throughout the lessons, I felt comfortable asking even the most basic questions—sometimes more than once. I felt challenged, and the homework was more effective and informative than any other theory class I’ve taken. I especially enjoyed learning from him because his passion and love for the subject were so evident, and that motivated me even more. He always encouraged me along the way until I succeeded. Without a doubt, the best teacher I’ve ever had.

I just wanted to thank you after finishing the course—it was super interesting, and you delivered it in the most professional and patient way possible. You filled in so many gaps I had in music theory and gave me so much knowledge. You were always available for every question and request, and you did it all with a smile, a love for music, and a genuine passion for teaching. I truly enjoyed learning from you, and you helped me start my journey at Rimon on the right foot!
Again, thank you so much—I really hope we’ll meet again!

Hey Idan, I just feel like writing a few kind words. This was such a fantastic course! I can tell you truly know how to teach, and that you genuinely care about your students understanding the material. The atmosphere was always respectful, making it easy to ask questions and insist on truly grasping the concepts. Honestly, I just know the material now! And that surprises me because I thought it would be much harder.
Thank you so, so much! :)

I signed up for Idan Zion’s course without knowing him beforehand. As a self-taught musician with no formal education, I was a bit worried I might feel lost—but those fears disappeared about five minutes into the first lesson. Beyond the obvious—Idan being an encyclopedia of deep and extensive knowledge, an outstanding musician, and an exceptional educator—the thing that impressed me most was his passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge. This was evident in the fact that lessons often ran overtime and in his active participation in the course’s WhatsApp group, where he answered every question in detail and engaged in every discussion. He’s not just here to work—he genuinely loves what he does, and he gives his students everything he has, straight from the heart. That’s something you can really feel.

Man, you’re amazing!! The way you teach is incredible and helps me progress so much faster. This is material that people struggle with for years, and somehow, you manage to explain it in such a clear way that it accelerates my learning. I have to say—I’ve tried learning this multiple times in different places, and it’s always been difficult to fit into my daily routine. But your method makes it easy to integrate and much more manageable. ❤️

I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for Idan Zion and the harmony lessons we had together. Even though my knowledge of music theory was solid, I had some frustrating gaps in harmony that constantly left me uncertain about chord progressions and their origins. Through our lessons, we filled in all those gaps in what’s known as contemporary music harmony. Now, I have a deep understanding of how the songs I love are structured, how to analyze compositions at a high level, and how to make sense of those "tricky" chords that once seemed random to me.

Idan Zion is the perfect teacher to study music with because he explains everything simply and thoroughly. He makes learning enjoyable, clear, and logical—breaking down concepts, providing examples, and teaching how to avoid confusion and practice effectively. It’s an absolute pleasure to learn from him.
